Experts Exchange Announces New Parent Company

RedSource Interactive to offer niche question/answer websites

The top-1000 Alexa-ranked technology hub Experts Exchange is expanding its question and answer model to new markets. Just not as Experts Exchange.

RedSource Interactive will operate as parent company for a host of new question/answer sites targeting niche audiences. In addition to the flagship site Experts Exchange, the company has already launched about 80 new brands ranging from Ford Broncos to VBScript, with more in the pipeline.

“Finding reliable answers online can be a challenge,” says Randy Redberg, CEO of RedSource Interactive. “Experts Exchange has helped people find the right information to solve tech problems for years. Now we’re using the patented Experts Exchange system to help people find answers on other topics—any time of day, anywhere in the world.”

Experts Exchange was created in 1996 in response to a lack of quality technology help in forums. Using a patented knowledge-sharing system, experts provide faster answers and (here’s the twist) users are prompted to select the best solution. The system has generated more than 3 million asker-verified solutions.

To leverage the patented knowledge-sharing system, the company has tooled their production pipeline to push new niche sites efficiently, putting them in the hands of users sooner rather than later.

“The new process allows us to create new sites quickly, so we can respond to the needs of the market,” say Mark Barbir, Creative Director and CMS Team Manager. According to Barbir, RedSource is also working with businesses looking for in-house tools to manage intellectual property and company knowledge.

“We’ve got a ton of Fortune 500 companies on Experts Exchange, so they know how it works,” continues Barbir. “A turnkey Q&A system for in-house questions is the next logical step.”

Experts Exchange will be included under the RedSource umbrella and current users should anticipate the same level of technology assistance they’ve come to expect.

“We value the Experts Exchange community and are certain it will remain our flagship website for the foreseeable future,” says Redberg.

RedSource Interactive is where questions meet answers. Using a patented knowledge-sharing system, everyday users can find reliable answers at niche sites built specifically for them.
